Corporate Christmas Hogarths Stone Manor, Kidderminster, is offering shared Winter

Wonderland Party Nights, complete with a three-course meal, disco and dancing. At Ardencote, in Warwick, businesses can organise private classic parties to their exact specifications, complete with a private function room, red carpet arrival and a three-course menu of their choice. At Moor Hall Hotel & Spa, Sutton Coldfield, guests can add a touch of glamour to the festive season with their Pure Gold Party Nights, which offer a decadent décor along with a three-course meal and disco. And for those who wish to combine a spot of Christmas shopping with a work’s do, Macdonald Burlington Hotel, located in Birmingham city centre, is this year offering private parties for up to 340 guests. A Christmas lunch or afternoon tea might be better suited to smaller

firms. Malmaison Birmingham, for example, is offering a festive spin on traditional afternoon tea, with Prosecco, Christmas cake, mince pies and sherry trifle among the seasonal goodies on offer. However, there are plenty of alternatives to classic Christmas parties. The Old School House Restaurant, in Lichfield, has created a Festive Fayre lunchtime menu, featuring local produce and served in a relaxed setting. Themed evenings are always a popular choice; Coombe Abbey Hotel,

in Warwickshire, is offering Medieval Banquets in its historic Abbeygate hall, while Corus the Regency Solihull is hosting a range of tribute nights, from the Rat Pack to the swinging 60s, accompanied by a three- course meal and dancing. But Christmas celebrations are not limited to hotels and restaurants.

Employees may prefer a night out at the theatre, and this year, the classic pantomime Aladdin will be flying into the Lichfield Garrick Theatre from 1 December. And the staple of the Christmas calendar, The Nutcracker, performed by Birmingham Royal Ballet, will be staged at The Hippodrome from 24 November. The cost of your Christmas party is also a serious consideration. You

need to decide from the outset whether the company will foot the bill for the entire evening, subsidise the cost of the meal or perhaps offer a free bar until a certain time. If you are expecting staff to make a contribution to the event, you need to notify them in advance or even offer to deduct the cost from their salary. But once all the planning has been taken care of and the party booked, there’s just one last thing to remember – enjoy yourself!
