One of my favorite authors that I got to know a bit before he died was Pat Con- roy, and he told me that what he wrote, like Santini, he called it “fac- tion,” because he based a lot of it on fact and blended it with fiction. I thought that was kinda like what I was getting from your books a little bit too. Yeah I would say that is true.
They had a character in the movie Gone Girl, I guess you are aware of that, that had everybody saying "that's Nancy Grace.” What did you think about that? Did you pick up on that, I am sure you did. Well yeah, as a matter of fact, I did an inter- view with Misty Piles, I think it was for Van- ity Fair, where we talked to each other. She played that character, so yes I was flattered of course.
Oh yeah, well that is a lot more flatter- ing than the Nancy parodys on Satur- day Night Live. Well, I don't know about that, I mean any- time you are lampooned on Saturday Night Live, that’s an honor.
You’ve got to be pretty popular to be a character on SNL. A lot of people might get mad about, I was flattered and I was very touched that they would even think about me.
What are your future plans for writing? Are we looking at another Hailey mys- tery are you thinking about another non-fiction book? Yea, actually, yes I'm half way through the next Hailey Dean novel right now and I'm working on the next Hallmark Movie as well.
There's been two ao far, one was Murder with Love and the other one was Deadly Estates, that just premiered not too long ago.
You say you are writing another non- fiction book too? I'm working on right now the next Hallmark movie, and my next book is about half way through and I’m working on another non-fic- tion book as well.
