arship, so I transferred to Mercer so that could be closer to Keith and see him all the time. He was in Athens. and I was in Macon, and I had gotten a job in the library at the university. I remember I was taking a statis- tics exam and I left it and I remember walk-
ing out and everything so bright and shiny and beautiful. I was walking to work at the li- brary and I stopped at the Student Union and called, because it was a long walk, to say I'm almost there. That’s when they told me to call Keith's family. And when I did, I was in the Mercer University Student Union when I found out that Keith was dead. I didn't know how he was killed, but that is how I found out that Keith was dead, and I dropped out of school,.I did not know what I was going to do, but I ultimately decided to go back to school in order to go and study Law at Mercer Law School. Something wonderful happened to me at Mercer, it was after Keith's murder and I had finally gone back to finish my under- grad degree. I met David, David Lynch. That was in 1979, I had no interest in meeting an- other man, I still felt I was married to Keith. I was not interested at all. David, thank God, fell in love and he really helped me get through Keith's murder. Over 20 years later I felt that I could try to have happiness and love again, and I married David Lynch. I just couldn't be in love after Keith was killed, it took me that long to try and build a new life.
I had heard about, very sad. But I am
so happy you have David. I have seen your beautiful children on Instagram. What are your children's names? John David and Lucy. John David is named after the beloved disciple John the Revelator and his father David and Lucy is named after my Grandmother. I had always planned to name my daughter Halley, after Halley's comet from Once in a Lifetime. And after Keith’s murder, I did not think that I would ever marry or have children, so I put Hailey Dean as the star/the heroine in all my books, and now movies,and that is where the name Hailey Dean came from, it's named after Hai- ley, which I always wanted to name my daughter and Dean who helped me co-created the Nancy Grace Show. Dean was my execu- tive producer, Dean Sicoli, and I had planned you know to name my daughter Hailey, but in the delivery room I almost died, as did Lucy, And in those hours I saw my Grandmother who helped raise me and helped me through my delivery, so when my daughter was born, there was only one name, Lucy.
Wow, great story, I tell ya. I researched a little bit and saw that you are just a couple of years younger than me. You know, I write a lot about Macon and I write a lot about the Capricorn Records days. Do you have any memories or stories related to Capricorn Records or the Phil Walden, the Allman Brothers, the other artists. . . did you know any of those folks? You know, that was more my brother's time, he was very heavily into the music scene and had his own band. We were all aware of Capricorn and Phil, we would run into him sometimes. We could actually hear the All- man Brothers practicing from their place near Lizella, Georgia, we could actually hear them practicing. W, we all grew up loving the All- man Brothers.
