He’s a good buddy. We played together in a couple of bands. Salt of the earth. He’s got that Rockabilly thing going on now Honey and the Hot Rods. Yeah that's some cool stuff I’ve been digging hearing it.

Right on. I wanna ask you about song- writing cause it all goes back to the song, and you write a lot of good ones. I wanted to ask you, do you write mostly from real life experiences or for lack of a better word “fantasy,” just making songs up? It's probably about 95% real life experiences you know, there's not a lot of writers embel- lishment on the songwriting, it's all pretty much just what I need to say. Like Duane All- man said “I didn’t enjoy just bitching about my problems so I put it in a musical context so it turns into something beautiful someone actually wants to listen to.”

Duane was wise. Also I think if we as individuals have a problem or some- thing there's going to be a lot of other people that's had that same problem that can identify with the song because they've gone through it. So some of these last questions are going to be al- most like Sixteenmagazine. I hate to say it. It says on your website that you guys play disc golf and I just have to know what that is? That's more of our drummer and trumpet player, they like to play disc golf. You’ve got Frisbees. . . it's fun, I’ve played it before. But my hobby is music and my career is music, but basically you've got these baskets and it's just like golf and you throw it and get it in the basket instead of putters and golf balls.

It's kinda hard to put a Frisbee into a basket. Yeah it's kinda tough. Its pretty neat.

Are you a movie fan, and if so you probably don’t go to many now that you’re so busy do you? Well, whenever I'm home that's my favorite thing to do is go see a movie. There’s some- thing real nostalgic about it you know? Pop- corn and being in the movie theater. I'm not a huge fan of crowds, being in crowds that is, so I always wait till the movies been out for a couple of weeks and go see a movie when there's nobody in the theater (laughing)

Do you have a list of favorite movies that you've seen that you really like? There was a movie I saw recently called Pas- sengers that was pretty good, but we all kinda

dig on older movies for the most part like Easy Rider, which is my favorite movie.

Yeah now you’re talking. The Graduate is a close second and Forrest Gump (laughing) is always up there.

Thats a good one. What are your musi- cal goals right now and in the near future?
