2016. What are your thoughts on being inducted into this organization? Basically humility and I’m thankful to the good Lord. I have had so many blessings and that's one that I didn't know if it would ever happen, that's the one you can't lobby for, you can't do anything about it because you don't even know who is voting. They keep that pretty much a secret. It's an alternating chan- nel of people who I think serve for three years or something like that, and they get to- gether and vote and decide who's gonna be inducted. You never know anything about it ‘til they actually get through the whole voting process and they finally come and tell you. You know don’t you are going to be inducted and the night it happened to me it just, of course, I didn't know it was gonna happen. I went to where I went under false pretenses. I didnt know that's what I was going for. I thought I was going to take a picture and when I found out it was, Michael, it's pretty overwhelming to be honest with you about it. It sure was, I dont know any other way to put it, it was . . . I have had a lot of accolades in my life, I've been blessed with making a living doing something that I thoroughly enjoy doing and I've had a lot of icing on the cake and awards and special things that have hap- pened to me. But this one was one that I just didn't have any idea. A complete surprise. It just comes out of the clear blue sky and just knocks you to your knees almost, its that
I would imagine so. It's still a thrill to me to hear somebody say that to be honest with you, I am not blase' in the furthest stretch of the imagination about that. I'm pretty gushy about it, and I dont think that will ever go away. I think it will al- ways be there, I think I'll always be very hum- ble and very thankful and really still to this day pretty surprised about it.
Well, I'm very happy for you. I went on their website and just looked at the list of names that have been inducted and it must be absolutely mind-blowing to be grouped with some of those folks. There's no doubt about it, it was for me. You know, I've been asked a lot of times since then what I thought about it and how I perceived it and I have yet to be able to completely articu- late my thoughts to actually put into words how I felt, because I don't know how to do it. I know it's a special feeling to me on the in- side. What I felt when I walked up and Brenda Lee put that medallion around my neck, it just, its just hard for me to do. I just have not found an adequate way to express it yet, so I'm still kinda zinging on this, buddy.
