P&O MARITIME
In the late 1960s, with the development of the offshore oil and gas industry in Australia, P&O transferred several vessels to Australia and, in 1968, established P&O Offshore Services.
Over the next 50 years, P&O successfully expanded its operations and expertise to include the following sectors: Offshore Renewables, Government Shipping, Research and Survey, Cargo Services, Oil and Gas, Port Services, Defence Services, Agency and Chartering Services.

Consequently, P&O Maritime has established worldwide offices in Australia, Europe, South America, Papua New Guinea, Singapore and Dubai. Our European operations are located in Lowestoft (Suffolk) and Menai Bridge (Wales) while our corporate European headquarters is based in Galway (Ireland).
OPPORTUNITIES IN OFFSHORE RENWEWABLES
In order to take advantage of the opportunities within the emerging Offshore Renewable Energy market, P&O Maritime established its Offshore Renewable division in 2009. This division focuses in providing specialist shipping solutions to wind- farm developers, operators and service providers within the European Offshore Renewables Industry.

These vessels provide personnel transfer services to and from offshore wind farm structures while also providing a platform for spare part transfer, cargo transfer and survey services.
• Research and Survey Services – P&O Maritime can provide a range of research and survey vessel solutions including Cable-route Surveys, Hydrographic and Geophysical Surveys, Environmental Surveys, ROV Support, Site Investigations and Fisheries Research
EUROPEAN STRATEGY
P&O Maritime’s European strategy involves the establishment of a regional hub in Germany and development of larger vessel solutions uniquely positioned to meet the future Operational and Maintenance requirements of the European Offshore Renewables Market.
