SERVICES
Clients are predominantly, but not exclusively, marine and civil engineering companies and they provide a complete service through their river frontage fabrication and machine shop setting from consultancy, inspection, design and build to installation and maintenance.
RESOURCES
RENEWABLES PORTFOLIO Projects completed in relation to renewables include biomass handling systems, mobilisation & dembilisation of wind farm barges, anchor handling platforms and 60 tonne A frame lifting systems, and transportation of wind turbine gearboxes.
Examples of general projects include installation of mooring systems, manufacturing bulk handling hoppers, removal and re-floating of dock gates; a wide range of projects transporting & utilising equipment on the river.
TWM have extensive resources for use and hire including water based equipment e.g. workboats, fast response ribs, a floating dry dock capable of lifting up to 350 tonnes, mobile cranes up to 30 tonne, a pontoon system 30 x 12 where mobile cranes & crawlers can be driven onto ( a unique resource in the region) which is often used for piling on the river Tyne and pontoon systems with hyabs up to 8 tonne.
They also have a road transportable pontoon system consisting of standard 10 x 4’s which can be interlocked in any configuration enabling size flexibility and can be supplied with a connecting powerful pushing tug 4 x 5.
ROVS
TWM has developed approaches using Micro ROVs (remote operated vehicles) to carry out most underwater work reducing costs and increasing safety on projects; by developing bespoke tooling, a diverse range of tasks can now be carried out.

GARETH TELLS US WHY Climbing Kilimanjaro is a relatively
new ambition but as a keen hill walker, not one which required a great deal of consideration.
A WORTHWHILE CAUSE Aside from the eventual satisfaction of reaching the top of the largest free- standing mountain in the world, it occurred to me that this was an excellent opportunity to raise funds for a worthwhile cause.
Given my profession as a geotechnical engineer for Cathie Associates working in offshore wind – what better cause than Renewable World?
