The Hub Events Round-up Post-event reports and news of forthcoming events Delegates enjoy excellent expo

The Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce Expo proved to be a big hit once again – with around 900 people packing into the Birmingham Conference and Events Centre. The Spring Expo – sponsored by CAB Studios

– featured 84 exhibitors from across the Greater Birmingham region. Seminars on digital trade and e-exporting,

coaching for performance and the importance of effective age management within the workplace were also well received. And 60 delegates had the opportunity to take part in a quick-fire Speed Networking session at the city centre venue. The Expo also featured some fantastic prize

giveaways, including two business class flight tickets from Qatar Airways, and flights to Paris courtesy of A-Plan Insurance and Nexus Creative. Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce

chief executive Paul Faulkner said: “It was fantastic to see how many people were in attendance, not just exhibiting but the general footfall with people coming along to do business. “There was such a great buzz in the room and

we are delighted with how it went. It was our first time at the Birmingham Conference and Events Centre, which is a wonderful events space and I’d like to thank them for hosting.” Expo also received rave reviews from some of

the exhibitors who hand the chance to showcase their businesses. Matthew Wood from headline sponsors CAB

Studios said: “It was great to be part of the Expo this year. We decided after last year and the successful footfall we saw that we would become a headline sponsor this time around. “We have been exposed to some really great

businesses in Birmingham and it looks like it is only going to get stronger.” Caroline Davis from Birmingham Weekender

said: “We had a great day at the Chamber Expo. We have been talking to people as consumers to make sure they have got the September date for Birmingham Weekender in their diaries so that they can come to the festival. But we have also had a really good day telling businesses how they can be part of it and how they can sponsor it.”
