Telephony firm Bamboo Technology Group Ltd has secured gained two major ISO certifications and has also successfully retained its Investors in People certification for the 12th year in a row, Bamboo managing director

A director of business recovery and insolvency at a Midland accountant has successfully qualified as an insolvency practitioner. Michael Roome, of Smith


Cooper, has passed the Joint Insolvency Board examinations to join a select band of fewer than 2,000 licensed insolvency practitioners currently practising in the UK. Michael has more 20 years of


experience in dealing with all aspects of corporate and personal insolvency matters.


The Jaffray Care Group have unveiled a new multi-sensory room, designed to help ‘soothe and stimulate’ their residents. The charity – which employs


around 250 nurses, care managers and support staff to care for those with developmental difficulties and healthcare needs – opened the new facility at their Jaffray Centre in Erdington. The multi-sensory room was officially opened by Harvey Sandford, relationship director at Lloyds Bank’s Midlands healthcare team, who were the principal contributors to the £20,000 project. Lee Hendon, chief executive of


the Jaffray Care Group, said: “I can’t tell you how delighted I am that our friends, neighbours and business partners came together to raise £20,000 to enable this project to happen. “Their efforts will make a lot of


people with special needs very happy. The multi-sensory room will offer huge benefits, whether it is interactive or calming. “We can now create the

achieving specific and measurable educational and therapeutic goals.” Jaffray Care became a charity in


1993 and have been providing nursing services, day care residential services and supported living in Birmingham, Wolverhampton and South Staffordshire.


As well as offering residential


accommodation and assisted living, Jaffray also have a rapidly- expanding day service. The group celebrated their 25th


anniversary last year and also scooped two gongs at the National Learning Disabilities and Autism Awards.


A-Plant drives away with fleet accreditation Top accreditation: A-Plant


Equipment rental company A-Plant has successfully retained its Whole Fleet Accreditation (WFA) status under the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS), an accreditation programme which drives best practice across the fleet industry. A-Plant, the UK’s largest equipment rental company, with depots in West Bromwich and Birmingham, is only one of seven companies to secure nationwide accreditation, and the first to renew Whole Fleet Accreditation under the new FORS Standard 4.0. A-Plant has also been made a
