Ayurvedic business is in great health

An alternative therapy business has become so successful that it has outgrown its current premises in just its fourth year. Sampurna Kerala Ayurveda

Limited was launched in March 2013 by Mary Reynard, who was among four people who took over the Kerala Ayurveda Spa Clinic in Sparkhill. The business specialises in

Ayurvedic treatments – Ayurvedic medicine is one of the world’s oldest holistic healing systems, and was developed more than 5,000 years ago in India. It’s based on the belief that health and wellness depends maintaining a balance between the mind, body, and spirit. Mary said: “The clinic offers

alternative therapies to clients who are looking for natural treatments for their ailments. We have successfully catered to more than 10,000 consultations most of them come to get treated and pass the word on. “Sparkhill was a good location to

set up originally due to its high percentage of Asians who are accustomed to Ayurvedic treatments. “With the latest trend to seek out

natural therapies and remedies and the increasing numbers of visits from non-Asians who come to us at Sparkhill, we are confident that it is time to expand outside of this area.”

growth rate of 13.5 per cent in the past five years, and 10,000 new homes planned for the city centre, and it is obvious that Birmingham is becoming a destination of choice.” Birmingham’s ranking follows a

wave of record figures for the city’s visitor economy. The city’s hotel sector had its most successful year, with hotel occupancy peaking at 99 per cent and averaging 75 per cent during 2016.
