brand awareness

“With trends changing faster than ever, the brand offers a kaleidoscope of colours, techniques and solutions.”

new year, new offerings

With the advent of the New Year, 2017 is already shaping up to be an exciting 12 months for Paragon. Alongside continuing to spread the word on all things Moyra, Cheryl is adding to their distribution portfolio with two fresh brand offerings.

In 2012, the company added a gel polish range to their growing portfolio. Featuring a fusion of UV gel and polish, Moyra Gel Polish is easy to use like polish but has the strength of a gel. UV and LED curable, the collection showcases over 100 colours and promises a guaranteed high shine for up to three weeks.

Two years later, the brand introduced its Fuse Gel – a one coat system with over 60 colours. “You do not need to use a base or a top coat; just two coats of colour and you are done,” says Cheryl. “How quick does this make your clients’ treatments? Clients can be in and out in 15 minutes.”

Moyra’s driving force has always been to provide everything industry professionals could ever want for their services, including nail art. With this in mind, the brand has also welcomed such products as nail treatments, brushes, acrylic paints, aquarelle paints, glitter powders, stones and foils to their family.

“[Last September], Moyra [introduced] its popular Stamping Plates – quality, large sized plates which [allow you to] create beautiful special nails in minutes,” describes Cheryl. “The Stamping Polish is extra pigmented, fast drying and especially made for stamping. [The] Stamping Polish Top Coat has been especially designed as not to dissolve the thin stamped layer underneath, so [keeps] your designs perfect. With over 30 plates available with lots of designs to create, it is so hard to choose which ones you would like.”

The brand continues to invest in research and development, with 2016 witnessing the introduction of Moyra’s Water Transfers. “With exceptional detail which you can encase within your Gel Top Coat [you can] easily add further painted detail on top to give it that great 3D effect,” comments Cheryl.

the importance of

education Before becoming distributors in their own right, Cheryl has been at the helm of the Paragon Training Academy for several years. With their main facility based in Derby, additional Paragon VTCT-approved educational centres can be found in London, Bedford, Droitwich, Redditch, Sheffield, Hull, Liverpool and Radcliffe, with more locations set to be added.

It therefore comes as no surprise that providing nail techs with all the essential theoretical and practical abilities required to perform successful Moyra treatments is of vital importance to Cheryl and the team at Paragon. Taking this into account, Moyra’s international brand ambassadors, Norka Andrea Szalay and Alexandra Snobl, were invited to the UK this Autumn to demonstrate their vast array of skills and pass on vital knowledge to UK- based educators. “Norka is [a] Hungarian tip box champion and Alexandra is [a] multiple national champion,” comments Cheryl. “Training with them was amazing and we are all now ready to pass on what we learnt through our Moyra Design Courses.”

Earlier this year, the company managed to secure the distributor rights to the PAVE Crystal Manicure range. “This product is one of the most amazing products to be launched this year, which can be used weekly in salons cutting down time for nail techs,” says Cheryl. “[The] specialised templates, which you add your crystals to, give you a complete design in seconds, [with] clear stampers to add the crystal designs to the nails. No longer does it take hours to apply crystals to the nail, it can now be done in seconds.”

In addition, Cheryl has recently unveiled her very own range of natural and organic manicure and pedicure products called Serenity, created to enhance clients’ skin care during treatment. “Our first range, Green Tea and Lemon, is invigorating; it not only looks after the skin on the hands but the nails also, [and] its infused with Sweet Almond oil, Blackcurrant Seed extracts and Plum.”

Specialised routines have also been developed to complement the range, as Cheryl explains: “Serenity Spritz with hand exfoliation and a deep body butter hand massage [is] great for a client who has just had a gel polish. [The] Luxury Serenity Manicure and Pedicure treatment involves the use of massage candle, [allowing you to] infuse your client’s senses with the aroma then massage with the aromatic balm – pure serenity.”
