Botanicals in the sun!
Botanicals Natural Organic Skincare is now available in sunnier climes, with therapists in the Balearics and the Caribbean opting to use the range in their face and body care treatments.
Laura Evans runs Perfectly Pampered Cayman, a mobile Spa therapy service which operates all over Grand Cayman. “I chose Botanicals because these award-winning products are truly amazing,” Laura told us. “They are certified organic, include only natural ingredients and smell divine. My clients also comment on how amazing their skin looks and feels after their treatments.”
Over in Majorca, Sarah Santa Cruz of Valldemossa, who provides luxurious holistic treatments for both residents and holiday makers on the island, has also chosen the brand due to their organic credentials and high quality plant and aromatherapy oils, complementing the treatments she offers.

continues to grow New research by the Global Wellness Institute (GWI) on the wellness industry has provided fresh evidence that it is one of the world’s largest, fastest growing and most resilient markets.
The data, presented at the recent Global Wellness Summit in Austria, highlighted that the wellness industry grew 10.6% in the last two years, from a $3.36 trillion market in 2013 to $3.72 trillion in 2015, despite the global economy/GDP shrinking by -3.6%. This means that the wellness industry now represents 5.1% of global economic output.
Among the ten wellness markets studied, results show that the fastest growing from 2013-2015 were: Preventative/Personalized Medicine and Public Health (+23.5%), Fitness and Mind-Body (+21.4%), Wellness Lifestyle Real Estate (+18.6%), Wellness Tourism (+14%), and Healthy Eating, Nutrition and Weight Loss (+12.8%).
Ophelia Yeung, Senior Research Fellow, GWI said: “Recent years have been marked by global economic contraction and disruptive geopolitical events, but a ‘wellness economy’ just keeps rising, with an upward trajectory that seems unstoppable.”

Award-winning Spa is back open
for business The Daffodil Hotel & Spa has re-opened after a full ground floor refurbishment to its reception, function rooms, lobby and award-winning Spa, following the floods which hit the Lake District last December.
The Spa, located on the shores of Lake Grasmere, boasts a new 10-metre thermal hydrotherapy pool, sauna, steam room and tepidarium as well as three treatment rooms, a treatment suite, a manicure room and the very popular Mud Rasul room. Skin care brand Germaine de Capuccini have also created a new menu of treatments which incorporates five signature Spa Journeys based on the five elements of nature.
As a way to keep their loyal client base up-to-speed with news following hundreds of messages of support from past customers, the venue’s marketing team created an innovative ‘Daffodil at Home Box’. The surprise gift was launched through an online campaign with the first 500 people signing up to receive a box, which contained a variety of hotel treats including a Germaine de Capuccini chocolate body cream.
“We had such fantastic support since Storm Desmond hit in December, with lots of people telling us that they missed us and how they would be looking forward to staying with us again once we reopened,” explains Mark Brady, Owner of the Daffodil Hotel & Spa. “It meant such a lot to us at what was a truly challenging time, so we wanted to show our appreciation and give them a taste of the Daffodil to enjoy at home.”
