Oligopeptide IonActive™ from Dermalogica’s new Ionactive system contains Diglucosyl Gallic acid – of particular interest due to its ability to interact with the skin’s microflora.
Once applied to the skin, the microflora begin to convert this acid into a new compound called Trihydroxy Benzoic acid (THBA) which has four times the antioxidant power of vitamin C alone. This new compound helps to brighten the skin while controlling any pigmentation issues and provides anti-inflammatory where required.

One of the ingredients used in McCosmetics’ Mesotherapy line is Glutathione, ideal for its whitening, antioxidant properties.
While our own body produces Glutathione, the levels are depleted due to poor diet, pollution, toxins, medications, stress and ageing amongst a variety of other factors, leaving cells susceptible to unrestrained cell disintegration from oxidative stress and free radicals. Applying this topically can help neutralise free radicals and improve any pigmentation concerns.
