Lynton Lasers was presented with the award for ‘Best Customer Service by a Manufacturer or Supplier’, following on from their win at The Aesthetic Awards 2014 for ‘Best Customer Service by a Manufacturer or Supplier’ and ‘Equipment Supplier of the Year’.


BTL Aesthetics’ Exilis Elite was named ‘Best Body Shaping Procedure’ (also highly commended in the ‘Best Skin Tightening Treatment’ category), with Syneron Candela’s VelaShape III VelaONCE treatment highly commended alongside the Hypoxi Rejuvenate. BTL Aesthetics’ were also winners in the ‘Most Innovative Aesthetic Treatment or Service’ category for the BTL Intima device for non-invasive labia remodelling.

‘Most Innovative Product’ was awarded to Skin Geeks’ AQ Skin Solution with Dr Gabriela Magic Beauty Face Lift Serum and Advanced Molecular Mask being high commended.


International markets welcome Mii


The Mii cosmetics brand is making its mark globally, thanks to its international distributors in Belgium, Poland and Denmark.


In September, Mii’s Danish distributor Allure Beauty Group showcased the full Mii range at Denmark’s Beauty Fair. “It was a very positive day and a delight to see that Mii is being recognised by beauty professionals after only nine months of debuting in Denmark,” commented Bettina Kirkebjerg, CEO of Allure Beauty Group.


At October’s ESTETIKA trade exhibition in Brussels, the brand was exhibited by local distributor M Cosmetics. Emmy Mattan of the Belgian company commented: “Our official launch on the Benelux market was really successful. Considering we were among many well-known brands, for a totally new brand to Benelux, the comments were very positive, with visitors commenting Mii was ‘really breathtaking!”


Meanwhile, Polish Mii distributor AP Beauty impressed with the full Mii offering of Mii Cosmetics, Kissed by Mii and Brow by Mii at the Poland Beauty Forum. Anna Lenart of AP Beauty said: “The sales were record- breaking.”


New high end skin care range to launch


SkinBase, one of the leading providers of Microdermabrasion and IPL systems, has announced they will launch a high-end range of skin care products in 2016.


The creams are being created to complement the SkinBase MD, IPL and Radio Frequency treatments and will be aimed predominantly at the professional beauty market.


“2016 is going to be huge for SkinBase,” Managing Director of SkinBase, Richard Faulkner told us. “We’ve just launched our new PAYG Radio Frequency machine, and by Summer 2016 the skin care range we’ve been working on for the past year will finally launch. Therapists have been asking us to create a complementary range of creams for years now, and those who have tested the creams for us have been absolutely delighted with the quality and effectiveness.”

The glittering awards ceremony in Glasgow was attended by hundreds of Scotland's top cosmetic surgeons, doctors and practitioners.
