Find opportunities at meet the buyer event

The Chamber is working with one of its longstanding members, GF Tomlinson, to deliver a ‘meet the buyer’ event for the construction sector. It will provide construction

companies looking for sub- contracting opportunities with access to tier 1 contractors which deliver a range of projects on the East Midlands Property Alliance (Empa) Framework. The event will offer opportunities

to develop working relationships with companies such as GF Tomlinson, Wates Construction and ASHE Construction. With Empa currently having a

139-strong public sector client base delivering projects such as housing, local authority education, health, emergency services, transport and many more, this is a great opportunity to develop new pipelines of work. The event is free to attend and

takes place on 19 May, 8am–12.30pm, at the Proact Stadium, Chesterfield.

repeatedly expressed concerns about the impact of the National Living Wage, warning that at current rate of increase it would result in at least a slowing of recruitment and, potentially, job losses in the longer term - it has been estimated that 60,000 jobs could be lost nationally as a
