staffed Enterprise locations. It is part of a wider programme that Enterprise is implementing to become the principal mobility provider for businesses and private motorists wanting to access any type of vehicle for any period of time, whether for an hour, a day, a week or much longer. During the past year, Enterprise has invested heavily in the car club’s website

and in-car technologies to improve the customer experience. Khaled Shahbo, Managing Director, Enterprise Rent-A-Car UK and Ireland,

said: “We believe that great things happen when we listen to our customers, which is why we acquired City Car Club a year ago. “Consumers want to access vehicles in the way that’s most convenient to

them – that includes on-street car clubs. “Some customers want to walk into a branch and be helped by one of our

employees through the process, face-to-face. Others want to book a car for an hour, access it via their smartphone and just go. We want to develop a network that can support all these requirements.” The new Enterprise Car Club is one of the UK’s largest, with operations in 19

UK cities. Existing City Car Club memberships will automatically transfer and access to

vehicles will continue with current membership cards. The billing and payment process will also remain unchanged. Enterprise is working closely with local authorities and transport providers to

Blaby-based brewer Everards has appointed multi-disciplinary construction consultancy Edmond Shipway as cost consultant, employer’s agent, construction design and management coordinator and mechanical and electrical consultant on its £30m HQ project. Known as Everards Meadows, the

development will sit on land between Soar Valley Way and the county police headquarters, at Enderby, and will form part of a wider programme of regeneration. Works will involve provision of a

restaurant and state-of-the-art cycling centre. Daman Ranby, Edmond Shipway’s

Director in Charge of M&E on the scheme, who is based in the firm’s Nottingham office, said: “Everards Meadows will not only act as an exceptional headquarters, it will also provide a real boost to the local economy while acting as the catalyst for further regeneration across the region.” Subject to planning agreement,

the brewery could be open by summer 2017.
