In last month’s article we explained how, wherever you live in Europe, you can have easy high speed internet access with Tooway. And we mean really high speed, up to 20mb download, with a 10GB package. Mr G from Tosalet Urbanisation in Javea (yes, he is a real person, but he has asked not to be named in full) read the article, got in touch with Jens Thate and has had the system fitted. So have lots of other Female Focus readers, but Mr G’s installation is worthy of note. It started with Jens (who is German but speaks perfect English) and is a professional Tooway Installer of 3 years standing, going to see Mr G and doing a site survey. And this is where the Tooway Internet system comes into its own. Mr G’s house is completely surrounded by pine trees and in a bit of a dip, with absolutely no chance whatsoever of seeing the Cumbre del Sol transmitter, or any other transmitter. NO PROBLEM! Because Tooway internet is direct to the Eutelsat Satellite company via the Europasat ISP ….. i.e. straight upwards 36,000 km into orbit, the enormous trees or the dip simply didn’t matter….the signal is coming straight down and up! With Tooway internet the terrain and what’s surrounding you is immaterial; nor does it matter if you live in a town or the deepest and quietest Spanish campo. The first thing to do was that Mr G and Jens chose the best place for the antenna to be positioned, and they discussed where the modem would go inside Mr G’s house. Then they discussed which Tooway package Mr G would prefer. There are 3 Tooway packages to choose from: a) OUTRIGHT PURCHASE i.e. buy and own the equipment yourself. This is on promotion at the moment, with a third off. So you can get to buy the equipment for €280 (IVA

included). You pay the installation (in Mr G’s case it was €120) and then €29.95 p/m. b) RENTING i.e. rent the equipment, it never becomes yours. No purchase cost, you pay for the installation, and then €41.80 p/m. c) LEASING which is a mixture of a) and b). You pay €99 towards the equipment and €36.95 p/m for 2 years, after which the cost falls to €29.95 p/m. As it happens, Mr G preferred option a). This all decided, Jens left, returned to his office and ordered Mr G’s Tooway system, which comprised of an antenna on a bracket, cable, connectors, a satellite modem and a triax (a sort of LNB). 10 days later, at a time suitable for Mr G, Jens returned to fit the system. Being an ultimate profession (and German!) Jens took time to fit the system carefully and correctly, with the installation taking 4 hours from beginning to end. Then Jens showed Mr G and his wife how to work it. “Wow, that’s brilliant” were Mr G’s first words on seeing the system working. Jens has since learned from Mr G that his wife is totally thrilled at being able to keep in touch with her family on Skype and Facebook. So that’s the story of how one home owner and his wife are now at last able to enjoy the internet. The Tooway system gives easy, reliable and totally stable internet access, with much higher reliability than any local provider can provide. Because it is a system that communicates directly to the satellite, there is little that can wrong. So proof indeed. Jens and Tooway really do make internet access really easy.
