Strawberry Spinach Salad 20g sesame seeds
10g poppy seeds 100g white sugar 100ml olive oil
50ml balsamic vinegar pinch paprika dash Worcestershire sauce 10g minced onion
250g fresh spinach - rinsed, dried and torn into bite-size pieces 600g strawberries - cleaned, hulled and sliced 30g almonds, blanched and slivered
Directions In a medium bowl, whisk together the sesame seeds, poppy seeds, sugar, olive oil, vinegar, paprika, Worcestershire sauce and onion. Cover, and chill for one hour. In a large bowl, combine the spinach, strawberries and almonds. Pour dressing over salad, and toss. Refrigerate 10 to 15 minutes before serving.
Strawberry Avocado Salad
50ml white sugar 50ml olive oil
2 tablespoons honey 2 tablespoons cider vinegar 2 teaspoons lemon juice 100g salad greens
2 avocado - peeled, pitted and sliced 20 strawberries, sliced 1 cup chopped pecans
In a small bowl, whisk together the sugar, olive oil, honey, vinegar, and lemon juice. Set aside. Place the salad greens in a pretty bowl, and top with sliced avocado and strawberries. Drizzle dressing over everything, then sprinkle with pecans. Refrigerate for up to 2 hours before serving, or serve immediately.
