Built by the Victorians to protect Portland Harbour NOTHE FORT is one of the best preserved forts of its kind. The advances in technology that affected the fort are explained through many displays, exhibits and audio visual facilities located on the ramparts, gun decks and maze of underground passageways.

Enjoy the stunning and far reaching views of the Jurassic Coast from the picnic areas on the Ramparts. These will provide one of the best vantage points on the south coast. The gift shop aims to provide an interesting range of products designed to suit all members of the family, from souvenirs, books, toys and games, to a range of locally produced preserves, drinks and biscuits. There is also a recently refurbished café and restaurant facility serving a fine selection of hot and cold meals using fresh and locally sourced produce.

Nothefort offers a wide range of educational activities for schools & colleges as well as corporate hospitality, public events and private function hire all year round.

Nearby Weymouth has it all with an activity packed programme of events throughout the season, a world class bay & harbour, water- sports, fishing, three great beaches with safe sands and facilities to equal any in Europe.

Throughout the year the beach hosts many events including the International Beach Kite Festival, Fireworks, Tag Rugby, Handball, International Volleyball, Motocross, Chase the Pudding Xmas fun run etc. The Weymouth, Greenhill and Preston Promenades, including access to the town and the surrounding areas is flat and level.

Weymouth is a great location for an angling holiday at any time of the year, there are organised deep sea fishing trips, fishing boats to hire, and for the visitor who wants a trip, or play, in and around the bay there are craft to hire, or skippered boats trips.

In the heart of the town is the traditional Old Harbour, offering plenty to see and in the town there are many pubs & several night clubs. Surrounding the harbour there are hostelries and shops, and many places to eat offering traditional fish and chips to fine dining. Additionally on Brewers Quay, and in the town centre, there are more shops every description.

Notable places to visit include the WEYMOUTH SEA LIFE ADVENTURE PARK & TOWER for a fantastic SEA LIFE adventure both above and below the ocean! Get up close to over 1,000 creatures including our playful family of otters, comical penguins and magnificent rescued sea turtles. Find out how it feels to touch a starfish, crab and other creatures in our interactive rockpool. Then let us take you 53m above the resort on the Weymouth Tower for breathtaking views of the Jurassic Coast.

Another must visit is the RSPB VISITOR CENTRE at Radipole Lake to spend time in a nature environment or simply listen to birds singing from the tops of trees. These simple things can make a busy holiday feel better and brighten most moods.
