Sutton Harbour is home to the NATIONAL MARINE AQUARIUM where you can see a captivating display of fish of all shapes, sizes and colours swimming in shoals. Take your time to take in the visual spectacular at different viewing stations and you’re sure to get a unique and inspiring take on of what makes fish such fascinating animals - from the menacing Sand Tiger and Nurse Sharks to the graceful Eagle Rays to the mighty Tarpon and Barracuda they’ll be plenty to of activity to keep you transfixed. Then enjoy the delights of seven species of jellyfish in Ocean Drifters and pass through to the Shallows to see the native life of our shores. Your journey will take you across the world’s oceans, from the shores of Plymouth to the coral reefs of the tropics. Our hosts deliver an action-packed talk schedule, including our not-to-be-missed interactive dive show at 2 pm daily. There is a lot to do and see and for kids it’s a controlled environment to explore, learn and let off steam.

AQUARIUM, BUT AS A CHARITY WE... ...assist with turtle conservation research, run conservation programmes, educate 30,000+ students with curriculum- based learning, campaign for sustainable fi sheries, train apprentices and run intern programmes. We also put on live music gigs and other events, profi ts of which go towards our charitable aims - and it’s all in aid of marine conservation!
