CLASSIC CARS continued from pg 53

spec cloth wiring set from Tyree Harris of Bumpass, Virginia, we re- wired all the crusty old wires and rectified some shorts. “In the meantime, now that the MG

project has been completed, I am back at my original Woody and having a lot of fun. I am fitting the wood. The body’s going on the finished chassis this summer (fingers crossed). I hope to be able to show you that finished car in the next few short years! “Now – which car should I drive on

the next sunny weekend?” ***

One of my favourite features is

“What goes on behind closed doors?” Here’s another great example: John

“Buck” Newman, a co-worker at Keller Williams Solid Rock Realty, told me he liked my stories here in Bounder. He also said he had a couple of beautiful classics at home in his garage. So naturally I went to see them. And what a beautiful surprise.

*** It was 67 years ago that Johnson

Welding Works opened its doors at 70 Beech St. in Ottawa. As they say, nothing is forever, and they are moving out in September this year. They are re-locating to 1086

Kilmaurs Side Rd in Dunrobin. The area is often referred to as “Rodders Alley” with so many car enthusiasts out that way. Johnson Welding Work will still be

doing fabrications as well as their usual car work.
