Passive Infrared (PIR), lighting-fast 0.6-second trigger speed, field scan time-lapse mode, PIR sensor motion out to 60’, and up to one year of battery life. The new HD has been completely

redesigned and looks nothing like its predecessors. The new aggressive design, along with a revolutionary removable anti-reflection LED cover, sets this unit apart from the rest, in my opinion. Since some game animals can be spooked by the LED glow, this anti-reflection cover seemed to produce a lot more camera hits in the “bottle neck” location I had the unit set up for testing over a two week period. I found the resulting images to be clear and crisp, and the HD video clips were what I would describe as movie quality. National Fishing Week By the time July rolls around this

There are three application

methods available, although your chances of being drawn for a tag will remain the same whether you apply by telephone, Internet or at a Service Ontario outlet. To apply over the phone, call 1 (800) 288- 1155, but remember that if you have already purchased your regular deer license, you will not be able to enter the draw this way, and you must apply either online or visit a Service Ontario outlet. For more information

go to www.mnr.gov.on.ca. Until next time, I wish you all the

best in your summertime fishing and hunting endeavours. If you have anything exciting to

share, please drop me a line anytime: theoutdoorsguy@rogers.com.

summer, our region’s anglers are being reminded what the sport is really all about. The goal of National Fishing

Week (NFW) is to introduce anglers to this special activity we call sport fishing. Between July 5 and 14, everyone is encouraged to plan a fishing day at your nearest stream, pond, river or lake – and no fishing license is required. To remind folks of the recreational value of our freshwater fishery, the Ontario government is waiving the fishing license requirement for that week each summer. Anglers without a license must still abide by the limits set out in the Conservation permit, and all other regulations remain enforced, including size limits and protected sanctuaries.
