The initial figures are very good, we’re 65% up on last year and had a really good toy fair season. Sorgenfresser flew out the doors after picking up the Editors Choice Award for Toy of the Show at Toy Fair. The entire Rory’s Story Cubes range continues to be a very strong seller alongside Forbidden Island and Forbidden Desert. Wrebbit 3D puzzles are also continuing to perform well after the pace they picked up in Q4 last year. For Easter we’ve just put in more orders for Schmidt as they are up 154% on last year, and the new images have been very well received, so we want to have plenty of stock available. In the children’s puzzle category the John Deere and New Holland range in particular are very popular. It looks like quite a few children will be getting puzzles with their Easter eggs this year.

It’s been a really good start to the year. We continue to see growth in all of our pre-school brands and initial sales on Henry Hugglemonster have been extremely positive. We look forward to the second half of the year when the main part of the collection comes to market. In the Night Garden, Something Special, and Woolly

The first quarter has been a good, solid start to the year with Minecraft, One Direction and The Walking Dead all continuing to perform well after strong sales through Q4 last year. Sales were also boosted by three new properties to GB Eye; The Vamps, Disney Frozen and Sherlock, which has shown exceptional sales following the record breaking viewing figures over the seasonal period. Posters and related merchandise including the newest format

card holders continue to perform well, keeping the ranges fresh and reacting to key trends has been at the centre of their continued success. School holidays are always a key time for us so ensuring customers are aware of our newest releases and turning round orders quickly is always important. For Easter we are having a big push for the DVD release of Disney Frozen (which hit shelves on the 31st March) and the highly anticipated album release from The Vamps (launching 14th April).

what’s being ordered. Our brands are year-round sellers though, so, where we will see uplift over the Easter period, their strength will be throughout the year. Our marketing will also be ramping up in coming months. The year- round Immediate Media campaign that we have across all our CBeebies brands will begin, and we also have a push with parental influencers for Henry Hugglemonster as the Easter holidays begin.
