The Race to Connect campaign is our core Hot Wheels initiative for 2014. With an exciting programme of activity in place supported with amazing content and a fi rst-class range of toys, kids will be encouraged to use their imaginations to create their own, unique Hot Wheels systems. programme will support both initiatives whilst driving excitement around the new ‘Go For It’ brand messaging. Key activity includes TV advertising, partnerships with a leading boys’ website featuring an interactive digital game and a top boys’ magazine, plus a tour over the Summer.
TV advertised this Spring/Summer is the Track Builder System 4-Lane Tower Starter Set and Stunt, Deluxe and Speed Accessory Assortments, as well as the Double Jump Duel. All the tracks work together or connect to other sets. Autumn/Winter sees the launch of the Super Loop Chase Race, Track Builder System Double Boost Bi-way and a range of Basic Die-cast Cars.
Matchbox has die-cast vehicles available in Adventure City, Construction, Explorers and Heroic Rescue themes, plus SkyBusters planes and helicopters. In 2014 kids can recreate scenes from Disney’s Planes with the Action Shifters Flight, Finish Speedway Track Set, Character Planes Assortment and RC Mini Rides Assortment. Supporting the launch of Planes 2 is the Fire Blastin’ Dusty, Riplash Flyers range and a new Die-cast Assortment.
Disney Pixar’s Cars sees the launch of the Neon range, including a new Trackset and Die-cast Assortment plus the Action Shifters Flo’s V8 Café Dragstrip
and refreshed Character Cars Assortment. Autumn/Winter sees the arrival of the RS500 range including RS500 Hero McQueen, all of which are supported with an extensive marketing programme in collaboration with Disney.
