01702 200 244 | www.leapfrog.co.uk Read with Me Scout and Violet are interactive learning puppies for 2-5-year-olds. Each puppy reads from fi ve books and engages children by asking questions throughout the story to help build comprehension skills. Launched in Autumn 2013, they were LeapFrog’s biggest learning toy launch to date. The fi ve illustrated books included with Read with Me Scout and Violet teach children

a variety of educational skills. ‘Let’s Go Camping‘ teaches fundamental pre-school curriculum through rhythm, rhyme and repetition, while ‘Let’s Find Scout’s Toy’ teaches children about characters, settings and events in order to educate them more on the concept of narrative. The three other books cover a range of skills from identifying colours to learning about the sounds of language. LeapReader, LeapFrog’s interactive learning tool, is suitable for pre-schoolers aged four and above. Since its launch in July 2013, LeapReader has entered the top 10 pre-school toys (UK NPD , February 2014). The device, which combines three key learning areas into one device; reading, writing and listening, provides interactive guidance by reading aloud words and sentences, with the added function of ‘mess-free’ writing via interactive paper. Children can trace letters, words and numbers through stroke by stroke audio guidance, encouraging children to write on their own as well as read. 40 books or 175 songs can be stored on the LeapReader and there are also over 100 ‘learning experiences’ available, including books, audio books, fl ash cards, maps, learn to write sets, music albums and trivia challenges. The LeapReader content library lets parents choose titles based on reading levels, favourite characters or learning style. An integrated marketing programme is in place for 2014 consisting of targeted TV and online advertising, as well as PR, CRM and social media programmes. LeapFrog’s ‘Ask a Teacher’ campaign will see the company working with primary school teachers throughout the year.
