When it does, the fi rst player to catch it gains extra carrots to help win the game. Available from June 2014, Bunny Jump is suitable for children aged fi ve plus and is for 2-4 players. 2014 sees the launch of a new mini games range, including Smart Ass, Sort It Out!, 5 Second Rule, Spot The Difference and Who What Where Jr.. In Chicken Charades, players have 10 seconds to use the rubber chicken to act out


a word and gain the most points to win the game. It is for three or more players aged eight years plus. Other key lines for 2014 include the new headline card game Man Bites Dog, 5 Second Rule and core games such as Smart Ass, and the Gruffalo Word Rhyming Game.


Highlights from the current portfolio include Pointless, the board game version of the BBC1 quiz show for players aged 10 plus. Don’t Rock the Boat allows players aged fi ve plus to take turns balancing up to 16 pirate penguins on the ship.

Hotel Tycoon is a refresh of the classic ‘70s game of ‘Hotel’, with an upgraded look, feel and gameplay. The new edition includes 28 3D hotel buildings. Hotel Tycoon will be supported by TV advertising and an extensive PR campaign.


The Dobble card game saw excellent growth throughout 2013. Nearly 100 stores signed up for Esdevium’s Dobble Challenge, where retailers are encouraged to demonstrate Dobble in-store with rewards for those able to sell over 100 units. After a successful fi rst year, Esdevium will be extending its range


of Disney-licensed games for 2014 with a number of new additions, including the Sofi a the First Magical Tea Time Game, a pretend-play game of sharing, matching and collecting where players sit down for tea with Princess Sofi a. The collection also includes proven licensed titles across Jake and the Never Land Pirates, Disney Princess and Doc McStuffi ns. Esdevium’s other releases scheduled for 2014 include a new range of Timeline games, a re-design of Dixit, and Pie Face.


We had a great response to Bunny Jump when we launched the game at Toy Fair and it has tested really well with families, too. Puzzles and Play emerged into the puzzles and games market in 2013 with ranges which include D-Toys jigsaws and IQ puzzles, Creative Educational Aid games, and art and craft supplies from Playbox in Sweden. Exclusive new ranges for 2014 include Eurographics, Perler and Dimensions Paintworks. D-Toys is a Romanian manufacturer of adult jigsaw puzzles, wooden IQ puzzles and gift sets. Puzzles and Play is the exclusive


distributor of Eurographics jigsaws from Canada including 100, 300, 500, 1,000 and 2,000-piece jigsaws. Eurographics caters for both bricks and mortar shops and online retailers by providing two different size boxes for its 1,000-piece jigsaws. Most images are available in a retail box measuring 25x35cm, and a mail order box of 20x20cm. The mail order box is full-colour so is also ideal for smaller shops. The 100-piece puzzles come in an 11x11cm box. The Sweet puzzle collections come with a recipe book inside. There are over 450 designs available. Creative Educational Aids is a selection of educational games for all ages; volume lines include Ludo, Chess, Draughts and Chinese Checkers. The educational games include a large selection of alphabet and number related products aimed at children from pre-school age to 10 years, all produced on thick board with self-correcting pieces.
