Amongst this year’s new offerings is Shout! for ages 12 years to adult. Players are divided into two teams and sit on either side of a stand, on which a large Shout! card is displayed. There are almost 200 cards in the box, each one containing nine themed images, words or fi gures, which when all nine are identifi ed, in turn lead to the team’s completion of that card’s total Challenge. A large proportion of the cards come as clever and quirky ‘of the moment’ picture puzzles. The seventh entry in the Logo series, Logo Grab, is also new for 2014. For ages
eight years to adult, this game sees players grabbing for the dice instead of the cards. The game is fast-playing, reasonably priced, and c ompetitive.

The player with the least monkeys at the end is the winner. Tumblin’ Monkeys will be joined by Ali Baba. The strategy is to add the 15 playing pieces to the camel’s saddle one at a time; whoever upsets the camel fi rst and makes it buck will lose as Ali and all the pieces go fl ying. Freaky Franky is a brand new addition to Flair’s portfolio. For children aged 5–7, the large stretchy character allows players to play solo or against an opponent. If kids play solo, they simply punch his head and watch his eyes and brain pop out. If they play against an opponent, they pull Franky’s arms and see which of them is the strongest.
