2022. Kazak rug, south west Caucasus, late 19th century, 4ft. 7in. x 4ft. 4in. 1.40m. x 1.32m. Overall uneven wear; corrosion in places; kinks to sides. £200-300
2038. Two Jaf Kurd half khorjins, north west Persia late 19th-early 20th century, the first 1ft.11in. x 2ft.5in. 0.57m. x 0.74m. Overall uneven wear, complete with striped plainweave back. The second 1ft.8in. x 1ft.9in. 0.50m. x 0.52m. Overall uneven wear, cut and reduced all the way round; complete with striped plainweave back, now stuffed as cushion. Sold as a collection with all faults not subject to return. Together with an attractive and unusual Ersari Turkmen chuval face, south Turkmenistan or Afghanistan, second half 19th century, 1ft.11in. x 3ft.3in. 0.57m. x 1m. 2040. Sofreh by the Lors of Veramin, in plainweave and double-interlock tapestry weave, north central Persia about 1900-20, 3ft.7in. x 3ft.6in. 1.09m. x 1.07m. Two or three tiny moth holes. The particular structure seen here, double interlock tapestry weave, is one above all associated with the Lori and their various tribal groupings, of whom the most important is the Bakhtiari. The beautiful brown abrashed field is of undyed camel hair. £100-150
