1753. A very rare, unusual and extremely interesting flatweave fragment, the main red ground band depicting two winged horses and the tail of another, the first horse woven in pale blue, the second horse woven in red, the tail of the third horse a pale blue, the horses adorned with ornaments(?); the remnants of the two outer bands woven in un-dyed wool, the fragment laid down on linen; with a possible date of 5th-4th century BC, 9in. x 17in. approx. 23cm. x 43cm. approx.
