Together with a Moghan fragmented rug, south east Caucasus, mid-19th century, 6ft. 1in. x 3ft. 11in. 1.86m. x 1.20m. A distressed rug, heavily worn and holed, reduced in length by horizontal cut at lower end of field; replacement selvedges. (2) £100-200


2006. Exceptional and unusual Kuba sumac rug, north east Caucasus, probably late 19th/ early 20th century but woven in the edge of the yellow field 1278 [AH] (1861AD), 5ft. 5in. x 3ft. 11in. 1.65m. x 1.20m. Repairs to corners. £1,700-2,000


2008. Fragmented Surahani rug, Shirvan- Baku area, south east Caucasus, late 19th century, 5ft. 8in. x 5ft. 5in. 1.73m. x 1.65m. Date 1311 [AH] (1893 AD) woven in top corners of the field. Reduced in length by horizontal cut across the lower end of the field, the end border crudely re-joined. Overall wear, heavy in places. £100-150

2007. Interesting Shirvan or Karabakh fragment, possibly Shemakha area, south Caucasus, early 19th century, 2ft. 2in. x 3ft. 2in. 0.66m. x 0.97m. This fragment would appear to be of a multiple medallion design, with light blue rectangular plaque border. Worn; holed. Sold with all faults not subject to return.
