1721. Indian carpet, 20th century, 9ft. 6in. x 7ft. 3in. 2.90m. x 2.21m. Overall wear, heavy in places; with large hole to lower left side and ‘bites’ to lower right corner. Together with an almost matching rug, 20th century, 6ft. 8in. x 4ft. 7in. 2.03m. x 1.40m. Overall wear with crude repair centre. Note both pieces woven with a deep bottle green main border. Overall wear, heavier in some places; slight loss to lower end. Together with an Afshar rug, Kerman area, south west Persia, late 19th/early 20th century, 7ft. 1in. x 5ft. 3in. 2.16m. x 1.60m.
