BIDDING To bid at the auction you will need a bidding number. This can be obtained from the Sales Office either on the day of viewing or on the day of the sale.
BUYER’S PREMIUM Each lot is subject to a buyer’s premium of 15% (plus VAT)
COMMISSION BIDS
If you are unable to attend the sale you can leave a written bid. The auctioneers will execute commissions to buy as cheaply as other bids and reserves allow. On the more expensive lots it is usually possible to bid on the telephone by prior arrangement.
VAT Lots marked with an asterisk (*) are subject to VAT at 20% on the hammer price.
PAYMENT & CLEARANCE Payment should be made during the sale and where practical lots can usually be collected before the end of the auction.
Buyers unknown to us should furnish us with their bank details. Payment can be made by Debit card; cash; credit card (2% surcharge) or cheque by prior arrangement.
Card payments where the card holder is not present will only be accepted for transactions up to £500. Any card transaction which we are unable to verify against the given address cannot be processed.
