Small needlework bag, possibly Greek, 20th century, 8in. 20cm. square; linen ground, the top part of the bag embroidered in black, red and pastel coloured silks and wool, the bag with thin wool handles, some stitches rubbed; together with a Turkish needlework panel, late 19th/early 20th century, 17in. x 16 ½in. 44cm. x 42cm. the gold coloured satin ground finely worked in silks and metal threads with small floral motifs in a circle, repeated in the corners. 1769. A striking and unusually large Rescht panel, Persia, late 19th century, 130in. x 66in. 330cm. x 168cm. Fine felted cream wool ground, beautifully appliquéd in coloured felted wool floral motifs and embroidered in coloured silks. Small holes and tears in places to the field. This panel has been cut down the entire length of one side and one end has been cut off (and is not present) so that the panel is missing the corner floral arrangement. £300-400
