Dalesauna Provides Subterranean


Dalesauna was invited by interior fit out specialist Beck Interiors to assist them on a magnificent new property within the Wentworth Estate in Surrey, one of Europe’s premier residential areas


and home to the internationally renowned Wentworth Club. They supplied and installed a range of wellness features for a stunning spa and relaxation area, designed by Oak Industria of Italy, and housed in the lower ground floor of the property. The luxurious subterranean spa features a steam room, sauna and an exhilarating feature shower. The bespoke steam room, which boasts a large Hammam slab tiled in tumbled marble in natural beige with an inlaid motif, also incorporates touch screen technology for temperature control. The sauna was also designed as a bespoke unit and is


addition of your very own wellness suite that little more tempting. Designed to be very spacious inside, they can easily accommodate from two to eight people comfortably. Each barrel sauna is personally handcrafted at their cooperage in Dorset, ensuring a strong emphasis on quality and attention to detail.


Constructed using responsibly sourced PEFC certified Western Red Cedar, unprecedented in its ability to remain stable in extreme sauna conditions and naturally containing preservatives against moisture and decay, Cedar is renowned to be one of the world’s most durable woods. It is proven to last for decades and as such is rightly named in its indigenous land as ‘the tree of life’. With its sensual aromas and unparalleled thermal properties it is the perfect choice in sauna construction.


Using this ultimate timber alongside market leading heater stoves, and implementing


manufactured from cedar wood from the walls and bench seating to the infill and trims. The feature shower is thermostatically controlled to provide relaxing hot or


invigorating cold water.


Dalesauna installed the interior curved wall into the shell of the shower using a specialist pre-formed tiling board, before tiling the walls and floors. They also completed all of the other tiled areas in the spa. All rooms benefited from a variety of lighting features, from attractive fibre optics in the steam room to a mood enhancing colour changing lighting system in the sauna. Given the nature of the project and its prestigious location, the standard of finish and quality throughout the spa were of the very highest standard and thanks to Dalesauna’s experience and expertise, the project was delivered on time and within budget.
