WATERCO – LATEST IN FIBREGLASS WINDING TECHNOLOGY Waterco fibreglass filters embody the latest in fibreglass winding technology. The Waterco fibreglass vessels consist of an inner shell of fibreglass reinforced polyester resin over wound with fibreglass filament. Waterco’s digitally controlled filament winding machine faultlessly winds continuous strands of fibreglass filament to create a filter vessel with refined consistency and superior quality. Manufactured from the highest grade of non-corrosive materials, Micron fibreglass filters are designed and built for many years of trouble free operation.


Manufactured in their ISO 9001:2008 certified production facility, Micron commercial fibreglass filters offer proven quality and longevity and are available in top mount, side mount and horizontal configurations with filter areas of 0.87m² to 10.0m² with both the option of nozzle plate or lateral underdrain available. Waterco’s commercial Micron filters also feature the distinctive fishbone lateral arrangement, which improves water circulation and reduces backwashing saving water and chemicals. Waterco glass pearls media is manufactured from 100% virgin glass into spherical particles between 0.6mm and 0.8mm. Its narrow particle size range allows in depth filtration and extends operating cycles between backwashing. The unique design of the glass pearls media means that backwashing times are reduced by up to 20% offering significant savings in water and chemical usage. Glass pearls have been laboratory tested to be able to filter down effectively to below 3 microns meaning excellent water clarity can be achieved.
