and algae are dramatically reduced by using a ‘no-drop’ coating which limits the formation of condensation droplets. The twin wall material allows excellent light transmission levels (clear=80%) and with a minimal weight of 1.7kg sq/m, so ensuring the building does not become too heavy. Metal surfaces are coated with a velvet smooth finish of green or white. However, all RAL colours can be specified (at an additional cost). A trackless system is also available. The enclosure consists of a fixed end bay that is permanently attached to the ground, plus a series of moveable bays that slide underneath each other as the enclosure is opened.

SWIMEXINTRODUCES NEWFIXED GALAXYMODELS ANDREINFORCES EASYGLIDEAND POOLCOVER TELESCOPICMARKETING Swimex Enclosures, one of the leading pool enclosure specialists, have introduced their new fixed “Galaxy” model to the UK market. The Galaxy is suitable for both domestic and medium-size commercial enclosures up to 12m wide and any reasonable length. These semi-arched high enclosures retail from around £20,000 for an average pool and boast fully lift-up sides going via an optional

Supplied with double sliding doors and optional concertina ends, Galaxy is available in a choice of colours, is made to measure and is guaranteed for 10 years. “We have sold nearly 20 Galaxies in our evaluation year where we worked with pool dealers and individuals, including at a Manchester swim-school where Galaxy was ideal, another for a family with a wheelchair bound member and yet another for a Primary School in West Sussex. I am travelling around UK to promote this beautifully-made sturdy product to pool professionals and discuss how Galaxy can really answer the need for an affordable way of covering their clients’ pools for year-round use,” says Galaxy UK Swimex Manager, Geoffrey Allen. “With its unique feature of lift up sides from ground level, making access even easier, we could well sell hundreds of these quality buildings over the next few years.” Swimex Enclosures have now installed over a 1,000 enclosures of all types since 1998 and mainly use group associate company SwimTech under Piers Owen for its installations.
