THE GREAT SUNDAY ROAST THE WHEATSHEAF INN

With its welcoming setting and excellent service, The Sunday lunch at the Wheatsheaf Inn is something very special indeed.

E

ach week there’s choice of two meats – beef is always on the menu with the second choice of pork or lamb. Served with a selection of freshly prepared vegetables, adult diners can enjoy this meal as one- course for £7.95, two-courses for £10 and three-courses for £13. A child’s portion is just £3.95. The beef that arrives at the

table at The Wheatsheaf is hugely popular. The meat is cooked on a Friday then left to stand before being re-cooked in gravy on a Sunday morning. It’s mouth- wateringly tender and incredibly full of fl avour.

For the sweet-toothed diner there’s a huge selection of desserts

on offer each week. The gateaux cabinet is always well-stocked, and the ever-changing choice of hot and traditional puddings is delectable. If Sunday lunch isn’t what

you fancy, then why not enjoy a dish from the pub’s regular menu, which is also available right through Sunday.

Booking is advisable, although if you are lucky and take a chance they might just be able to squeeze you in.
