Why not book your summer vacation in Shaunavon this year? Shaunavon is celebrating it's 100th anni- versary July 18-21, and the town has a stellar lineup of entertainment, music, festivals and sports activi- ties for the whole family.
It will be four days jam-packed with activities. The celebration begins with registration at the Crescent Point Wickenheiser Centre on Thursday, July 18, fol- lowed by old-tyme dance music. Excitement begins on Friday and carries on through to Sunday with such events as an Old Tyme Country Fair, historical walking tours, rodeo, parade, flea market and cabaret. It's music, dance and just plain fun. Saturday's activities conclude with an exciting fireworks display, and on Sunday the family can take in an ecumenical church service. The town's annual summer celebration, Boomtown
Days and CCA Rodeo will also be held concurrently with the centennial celebations. Get a hug from Heartly the lovable town mascot who will celebrate his fifth birthday in 2013. "Let the Good Times Roll," is the theme for Boomtown Days. Where else in the world can you play bingo from your car, just by honking BINGO and
have a chance to win dozens of cash prizes? The Boomtown Days CCA Rodeo will be held at the Ron Winquist Arena. Come for the rodeo, stay for the show!
This year's Frenchman River Gospel Jamboree will take place at the Crescent Point Wickenheiser Centre on Aug. 2-4. Headliners for this international music gathering are George Canyon, Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder.
