MAPLE CREEK

Maple Creek is the hub of the Southwest. Part of the Cypress Hills Destination Area, the town of approximately 2,900 people is the gateway to the Cypress Hills and has a multitude of attractions right on its doorstep. Hop in the car and head west on Highway 271 to Cypress

Hills Vineyard and Winery, a one-of-a-kind oasis on the Prairies. Drive a little further down the road to Fort Walsh National Historic Site where workers in period costume will take you back in time to the early days of the North West Mounted Police, and the Cypress Hills Massacre. Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park is a 20-minute drive south of Maple Creek, where you will find Cypress Hills Speedway and Cypress Hills Eco-Adventures Ltd., a zip-line thrill-seeker's paradise. There is also a marina, beach volley- ball, hiking trails, leisure pool and observatory in the park.

Maple Creek has a true multicul- tural make-up, from the vibrant Metis and Nekaneet First Nation and the cowboy-ranching community, to a growing number of newcomers from diverse places like the Philippines, Mauritius, Korea, China, Nigeria and Chile, who each add to the unique fabric of the community. Stroll through the Heritage District and browse the unique shops, restaurants, and museums. Stop in at the Visitors Centre on Jasper Street for infor- mation on all Maple Creek has to offer.
