LOGISTICS & SUPPLY CHAIN Newrobotic loader

Since the launch of their Collating Robotic Loader (CRL) & Race Track System at the PPMA show last year, KLIKLOK has held a number of demonstration sessions for major food producers over recent months. This new innovation from Kliklok is ideally suited to handle the output from low to high- speed wrappers and collate the wrapped products into cartons or trays at up to 600 products per minute. The CRL incorporates advanced design electronic motion control technology using servo motor drives and a robotic Flex Picker. User-friendly innovative recipe-driven menus are accessed from Kliklok’s colour touch screen to ensure fast change-over between product styles, sizes and collations. This also offers superior troubleshooting capability, advanced servo diagnostics and a complete digital manual. For more information call (0)1275 836131,

Lightweight

shatterproof glass Cases for Industry, a division of the UK's leading single-source packaging solutions provider, FDL Packaging Group of Haydock, Merseyside, has recently devised an innovative solution for one of its major customers for the transportation of glass. The glass in question is extremely high in value as well as being highly specialised and so required an innovative purpose-built solution. For this, CFI designed a bespoke wooden stillage based upon an A-frame at a 5 degree angle with a plywood sleeve fully enclosing the shrink-wrapped glass. As CFI operations director Simon Higson remarks: “As with all other industry sectors, in freight forwarding keeping the entire process in the hands of a single organization will reduce risk to an absolute minimum. We’ve found that our customers have really appreciated the completely seamless service we can now offer”. For more information call (0) 151 545 0092 or email sales@casesforindustry.co.uk.
