The Student Starpack Awards have rewarded the best pack design fromthe industry’s newest talent

his year, the entrants in the student Starpack Awards spanned the

Science in Finland were high achievers in the competition, with its students winning four out of the seven gold awards. The Starpack awards are aimed at raising the profile of the


packaging industry as well as giving young designers the chance to create innovative products from professional briefs. Mike Baxter of British


Polythene Industries, a long- serving sponsor of Starpack said: “We think Starpack is probably one of the best vehicles for getting young people involved, not just in the creativity, but hopefully in helping to get them to understand the key part packaging plays in the protection and promotion of goods”. Professionals in the packaging


industry have been invited to enter and their entries will be judged inMay. All winners will be presented with their awards in a ceremony at state-of-the-art venue, The Boilerhouse, in


Grantham in July. 
