Foodland’s expanding export business took another step forward with the announcement of a tie-up with UK based Serbian specialist Milanovic-Knowles Ltd. The announcement was made in the run up to the Food Expo show where Milanovic-Knowles Ltd was a first time exhibitor showing a range of Foodland’s products. Based in Bristol, Milanovic-Knowles Ltd is promoting the export of high quality products from Serbia as well as facilitating UK business wishing to access the Serbian market. Foodland, based in Belgrade, Serbia, produces high quality natural food products including fruit juices, preserves and spreads. Foodland already exports products to many markets within Europe and America and the UK market is the next step for one of Serbia’s leading food businesses. Serbia is perfectly placed for the production of high quality fruit and vegetables, enjoying fertile soils and an ideal climate. There is a large and highly developed agricultural and food processing industry in the country. Foodland is a leading example providing a variety of high quality natural products without artificial ingredients or preservatives. Commenting on the agreement, Milanovic- Knowles director, Snezana Milanovic was optimistic about the prospects for Foodland's products in the UK. "This is a very exciting time for us and Foodland. Our initial trials have indicated that both the cost and quality of Foodland's range will be immensely attractive to UK customers. There are also gaps in the market where no equivalent product currently exists. One example would be Ajvar which is a very tasty spread based on roasted peppers and enjoyed as an antipasta with bread, cheese and salad or alternatively as a light snack with eggs.
