INDUSTRY NEWS Grand opening

The Paper Pallet Company opened its doors for business this week, after completing the installation of a fully automated palletmanufacturing line, which is capable of producing 4000 paper pallets per shift. The company occupies a new 40,000 sq. ft. facility in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, where it produces paper pallets in all the standard European and American sizes. The environmentally friendly pallets aremade fromsustainable waste paper and are 100 per cent recyclable after use, but due to their robust construction and strong Honeycomb deck, they are capable of lifting a tonne of product and have stacking strength of 10 tonnes. The new pallets only weigh 5kg compared with an average wooden pallet of 23kg and therefore save a tonne in weight on an average 42ft curtain sided lorry with 52 pallets on board. For more information 01933 283920, email Rob.poole@paperpallet.co.uk or visit www.paperpallet.co.uk.
