Laboratoire Wilson
chooses Linx Linx Printing Technologies is delivering excellent coding quality on a range of packaging types for the French cosmeticsmanufacturer LaboratoireWilson. LaboratoireWilson specialises in the design and manufacture of cosmetic products for African-Caribbean hair types. Products are packaged in diverse forms and materials, including pots and bottles made fromPET, PE, PP, glass and styrene-acrylonitrile (SAN). The marking of the products has to be very reliable and efficient. The solution was the Linx 4900 continuous ink jet printer, which is easy to use and has a low operating cost. The Linx 4900 is capable of printing up to two lines of text and operates for eight hours a day, five days a week at a speed of 17 m/min. Together with Linx’s recommendation of a high- performance black ink suitable for the wide range of substrates in question, the Linx 4900 printer perfectlymeets LaboratoireWilson’s requirements. Pintail Candles, the company renowned for its fragranced container candles, has linked up with Denny Bros to produce multi-lingual Fix-a-Forms to detail usage and safety instructions for products for export around the world. There are nine separate languages included in the re- sealable multi-page label which is applied to the base of the product for repeat reference throughout the life of the candle.
Pintail Candles are sold extensively in high street multiples but 30 per cent of the company’s turnover is export sales. James Long of Pintail Candles explains; “Fix-a- Form is the ingenious device that allows our export campaign to happen. It solves every logistical challenge associated with adding languages to products in one easy step allowing us to keep the product labelling design-led and contemporary.” For more information call 01284 701381 or visit
