LAUNCH GALLERY
MARIANI SOFT BEEF JERKY Mariani Foods has launched a soft beef jerky into the UK market. Mariani has been producing premium jerky for over 30 years and supplying into the Australian, Asian and Middle Eastern markets. Mariani Beef Jerky is 95 per cent fat free and unlike most of the harder the jerky types currently available. The company has plans to extend its range into the UK over the next few months. The introduction of soft beef jerky first is a strategic move to bring something new to the category and in doing so educate the UK consumer about the textures and flavour jerky can offer. The jerky is made from selected free roaming grass fed cattle; the beef is then hand cut to ensure the right thickness and to enhance the authentic meaty flavour. The RRP for Mariani Soft Beef Jerky is £1.99 and it is available nationally in Tesco and Costco stores as well as selected independent wholesalers and petrol forecourt chains.
SOMETHING EXTRA SPECIAL Marks & Spencer is launching a new range of speciality meat and poultry sourced from small-scale British farms, with several exclusive products not previously available on the UK high street. The range includes Cou Nu (Naked Neck) free-range corn-fed chicken; the first British free-range guinea fowl; the first British Oakham Poussin; the only free-range Gloucester Old Spot pork from the world’s largest pure-bred herd; a year-round speciality lamb offer; and special reserve Aberdeen Angus steak.
