Groom One Orientation Session Friday, March 30, 2012 and Saturday, March 31, 2012 Country Hill Stables,
Goodwood, Ontario (near Stouffville)
Participants will have hands-on experience at Country Hill Farm, a tour of Ajax Downs racetrack and an opportunity for employers to meet and greet the stu- dents. This two-day session is Phase One of a four-part certificate program combin- ing hands-on experience and online edu- cation and is recognized by both the Ontario Quarter Horse Racing Industry Development Program and Standardbred Canada.

The Pathway to Employment and Education Program supports entry-level skills development for the Quarter Horse racing industry. Students
By completing the two-day Orienta- tion session on March 30 and 31 partici- pants are eligible to become Pathway Stu- dents and benefit from the Pathway to Employment and Education Program. This program offers the potential to earn a bursary bonus and tuition reimburse- ment upon successful completion of the Groom One Certificate.

Quarter Horse Racing Industry Employers Once registered as a Pathway Program mentor, employing a Groom One Orientation session graduate or a Pathways student in the Quarter Horse racing industry can enable employers to receive up to 20 weeks of wage subsidies.
