The EOQHA show season will soon be upon us and generates a great deal of interest throughout Eastern Ontario, Quebec and in the United States. EOQHA has a reputation for offering contestants, sponsors and spectators a fantastic opportunity to showcase their horses, their products and have a great time with friends, family and horses. EOQHA will be offering a number of popular events such as the Trail Challenge, Showmanship Challenge and, new for 2012, their Jackpot Mania show day on July 31.

EOQHA stalls, hydro and shavings costs remain unchanged for 2012. Tack stalls will now be available at the same price as the standard stall cost. Stalls for May and June circuits will be $115/stall for members and $120 for non-members.


Stalls for the Summer Sizzler will be $150/stall for mem- bers and $155/stall for non- members. A $10 late fee per stall will be applied for book- ings not received by the pay- ment due date. Shavings can be purchased at $7/bag. Hydro will be $60 for the Spring Fling and June Classic and $105 for the Summer Siz- zler.

“An Awesome Mister” Retires


After a storied show and breeding career, An Awesome Mister, found a forever home to live out the rest of his days. Taylor Hanes of Shel- byville, Tennessee offered a retirement home to a horse he has admired for many years. “I’ve always been very intrigued that he has so much to offer confor- mation wise and yet he is a two-time Congress Champion western plea- sure horse and produced so many great halter and performance horses,” Hanes told GoHorse-
