Edward’s market comments... Visitors and followers of this major ‘Winter Warmer’ Historics sale will notice that we are across the way from Brooklands Museum and based in Mercedes-Benz World but, rest assured though, we will be back home at the Brooklands Museum on Saturday, May 26. It is reported that, according to V3 report, in 2011, a total of 3,006 classic cars populated auction houses’ catalogues. Of those, 1,934 found a new owner which represents a 64% hit rate, coincidentally, almost exactly the same sale rate as our last auction. With realistic valuations and passion for customer care, it seems to point to a very positive and wholly appropriate business model. We are also enjoying a surge in i-bidder registrations and internet bidding which, again, indicates a strong international presence. Could this be a green shoot or two pushing through... Do enjoy this sale and you can be assured of another warm welcome to the Historics Spring auction, we hope to see you all there...
