a Mr. Rizwan Khan of Gillingham, Kent from the vendor, Richard Johnson of Colorado with, it would seem, a 250SL engine and transmission. Presented in red with black leather interior, this needs some restoration but on casual inspection, it would appear that the car is largely complete. Much of the brightwork and parts can be found in the boot and it comes complete with the all important hard top. Supplied with Colorado certificate of title, Customs form C&E 386 and one or two other documents, this could be transformed with a little love and attention.

predecessor, the Mulsanne and also sported a revised suspension with wider tyres on alloy wheels, a first for a Bentley. The suspension changes, although seemingly subtle, transformed the soft and less than well-controlled ride of the Mulsanne into that of a real performer. This was achieved by increasing the anti-roll bar rates in the front and rear and by increasing the damping. A Panhard rod to anchor the rear suspension was also introduced, reducing side- to-side movement in corners. The Turbo R was sold alongside the Mulsanne Turbo for a short time although the Mulsanne was taken out of production in 1985. For the 1987 model year, the Turbo R received anti-lock brakes and Bosch fuel injection replacing the Solex carburettors. This Turbo R is one of the last carburettor models built and was supplied originally by Hooper & Co to Lord Forte of the Trusthouse Forte Group. It comes complete with the original handbooks, together with a large amount of history including 19 service stamps by the supplying dealer as well as a number of invoices from a marque specialist. A documented speedometer change at 66,700 thus brings the total mileage covered by this Bentley to 94,000 miles. Clearly this car has been very well looked after during its 25 years and the later style headlamp modification enhances the look of a timeless classic. Supplied with a V5 Registration document and a valid MoT test certificate, this Bentley Turbo R is finished in Masons black with tan interior and offers extraordinary value for money.
