LOT 200 1986 Yamaha XJ900 The Yamaha XJ900 was born out of the original XJ650 which


was the foundation for the whole XJ series. Launched originally in 1983, the XJ900 had an air-cooled, double overhead cam, 853cc 4-stroke, 4-cylinder, 8-valve engine and came with anti- dive front forks, shaft drive and triple disc brakes; with two at the front and one rear. 1937 Triumph Tiger 80 fitted with the original 350cc, single cylinder engine. This motorcycle was subject to a complete restoration to a very high standard many years ago and, according to the vendor, rides as if the restoration as just been completed. The frame is finished in black with matching mudguards and fitted with the correct distinctive chrome petrol tank. Supplied with this motorcycle is the V5C registration document and a current MoT test certificate expiring in August 2012. This is a very rare opportunity to purchase a pre-war motorcycle from one of the most iconic manufacturers in the world.
